After a week of mostly working from home, I notice a few interesting things. At SalesQ we made the transition fairly smoothly. Of the 30 people, 25 now work from home without too many problems. Previously, there were only 5 for whom working from home was facilitated. Very nice and a very good performance from our team!

I was quite concerned about accessibility now that most of the people we try to call also work from home, but these concerns turn out to be completely unfounded. Many people blindly draw the conclusion that sales and (tele)marketing is pointless now, but I really don't agree with that. The proof is there. Companies are actually more accessible! And lead generation conversions are under limited pressure. Instead of a visiting appointment for next week, we are now planning a video call or an appointment for the end of April or the beginning of May. Those are very valuable. Of course, many companies are now more internally oriented than externally and it is logical that the "tone of voice" on the phone is slightly different than usual in these times. But there is also a great need to continue with the things that you can continue to do. Many companies are also already making preparations for the moment when we will all proactively go public again. The hope is that by being prepared, the business will go back to normal volumes faster and that simply creates opportunities for our company. Sales is the last to turn off the lights and is again the first in the starting blocks. We are experiencing this now more than ever.

The government support measures are also certainly a reason for positivity as an entrepreneur. In these times I am extra happy that we live in the Netherlands!

Have a nice day,

Pepijn
